Faiza’s Above Knee Prosthesis
Faiza Waris's Story
We urge you to donate generously for Faiza’s Above Knee Prosthesis. She has been enduring trauma, pain, and helplessness over the past few years and needs your help to get her life back.
Faiza Waris, a 24-year-old resident of Lahore, had a road accident four years ago. Her leg was badly injured. People took her to the hospital. Upon medical evaluation, the doctor discovered severe trauma to her leg. Her limb was in a really bad condition and it was not possible to save it. Therefore, the doctors had to amputate her leg above the knee level.
Faiza is a housewife with two kids and her husband works as a driver. He is the only breadwinner in the family and Faiza has not been able to manage her daily chores with two toddlers since the tragedy struck her. They have no one else to support them financially. With a family of five to support and a meager income, it is next to impossible for them to pay for Faiza’s prosthetic leg. Someone told Faiza’s husband about Transparent Hands and he shared his distress with us in the following words.
“The choice I have Is very difficult and limited. I can either pay the bills and provide food and shelter to my family or get my wife a prosthesis. I can’t see her struggling every day to do her basic chores. Neither can I stay at home all the time to look after the kids as I need to make a living.” – Faiza’s Husband
Faiza awaits your donations to get a prosthetic leg, which will improve the quality of her life. Now that she has been connected with Transparent Hands, we are determined to get her a prosthetic leg. We urge you to help Faiza generously and make her life better. Please contribute as much as you can for Faiza’s Above Knee Prosthesis.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
