Fatima Bibi's Story

Fatima, a 28-year-old resident of Karachi, finds herself facing a critical situation as she enters the final stage of her third pregnancy. Having previously undergone two C-sections, her doctor has advised her to prepare for another C-section for the upcoming delivery.

However, this recommendation has put Fatima and her family in a challenging position. They reside in a rented house in Karachi, and her husband, who is the sole earner, earns a meager monthly income of PKR 15,000. Fatima’s husband said it in a depressed tone:
