Give for Aqsa Arshad’s Open Cholecystectomy
Aqsa Arshad's Story
Aqsa Arshad, a 30-year-old woman from Lahore, has been experiencing constant pain in her right upper abdomen for the past two months. She received some symptomatic treatment after consulting local doctors but only found temporary relief. She consulted another doctor, who diagnosed her with gallbladder stones. Her doctor has advised her to undergo open cholecystectomy. It’s a surgical intervention to remove the gallbladder. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond Aqsa’s financial means.
Aqsa lives in a 3-marla rented house with her husband and two children. Her husband is a daily wager and earns just PKR 30,000 per month. Aqsa’s husband is the only breadwinner in the family. They’ve been facing financial hardships and cannot afford to pay for this life-changing surgery. She deserves to live a healthy and happy life, which would only be possible through this treatment.
Aqsa can’t perform her household chores because of the persistent pain and discomfort caused by her gallbladder stones. She needs financial assistance from us to meet the expenses of her surgery.
Aqsa Arshad said in despair:
“I am in continuous discomfort. This condition is making it challenging for me to take care of my children. Your donation will not only bring relief to my life but also fill my home with happiness.”

Aqsa Arshad's Story
Aqsa Arshad, a 30-year-old resident of Lahore, had been suffering from acute upper abdominal pain for two months. Her condition was accompanied by recurrent episodes of nausea and vomiting. The pain was intense and persistent, making it difficult for her to carry out even the simplest daily tasks. She was receiving symptomatic treatment but nothing provided lasting relief. After suffering for a while, she decided to receive medical advice from a specialist. Therefore, she consulted a doctor at a nearby hospital, who, after a thorough examination and evaluation, diagnosed Aqsa with symptomatic Gallstones.
The doctor recommended cholecystectomy - a surgical procedure to remove the gallbladder. Over time, Aqsa’s pain grew worse and eventually became unbearable. She desperately needed the surgery. However, the surgical cost was beyond her family’s financial capacity. Aqsa lives in a modest rented house with her husband and two children. Her husband is the sole breadwinner in the family and earns just enough to cover the essentials. During this time of despair, Aqsa reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us for help.
Moved by her plea, we quickly registered her case. Thanks to the generosity of donors, we were able to arrange the surgical procedure for Aqsa at our panel hospital.
On July 11, 2024, Aqsa was admitted to the Lahore Care Hospital. Her surgery was scheduled on the same day. Dr. Ahmed Fawad, an experienced surgeon skillfully performed her cholecystectomy. On July 12, 2024, Aqsa was discharged from the hospital.
The surgery was a success, and Aqsa’s pain was finally relieved. Aqsa said with tears of happiness in her eyes:
“Living with pain was my daily routine. I thought relief was just a distant dream. Now, post-surgery, I feel stronger each day. Thank you for making this possible through your support”
The successful cholecystectomy marked the end of her suffering and the beginning of a new chapter in Aqsa Arshad life. Not only did it heal her physically but also gave her a new sense of hope and joy. Now she can take care of her family and live her life without the constant burden of pain and discomfort. Your generosity made a valuable impact on her life. From the bottom of our hearts, we are thankful.
