Eshmal Naz's Story

Eshmal Naz, a sweet and innocent one-year-old, resides in the picturesque town of Malakand. However, her young life is marred by the challenges of congenital sensorineural hearing loss.

At such a tender age, she is unable to experience the joy of hearing her parents’ voices or the delightful sounds of the world around her. The absence of sound hinders her growth and connection with her environment. Can you imagine the impact of a life without the gift of hearing?

Heartbroken, Eshmal Naz’s family knows that without a life-changing surgical treatment, her days will be forever confined to silence. This is where our collective efforts can make a profound difference.

Born in Malakand, Eshmal Naz has faced the challenges of congenital sensorineural hearing loss since her birth. Her parents noticed her unresponsiveness to sound cues, prompting them to seek medical help. After consultations and evaluations, the doctors advised that Eshmal Naz undergo cochlear implant surgery—a groundbreaking procedure that utilizes an electronic device to stimulate her hearing nerve.

Tragically, the financial constraints faced by her family prevent them from affording the costly surgical expenses. In a voice filled with despair, her father reached out to Transparent Hands, desperately seeking assistance to provide his daughter with the treatment she needed.
Her father sorrowfully shared their plight, saying,

“The treatment required for our daughter to regain her hearing is beyond our means. We long for Eshmal Naz to hear our voices and embrace the joys of childhood like any other one-year-old. Kindly come forward and donate with big hearts.”

Driven by their heartfelt plea, Eshmal Naz’s family sought the support of Transparent Hands, registering her case. Now, it is up to us to make a difference in her life. Let us come together and generously donate towards Eshmal Naz’s cochlear implant surgery, granting her the precious gift of hearing.

Eshmal Naz's Story

Eshmal Naz, a 1-year-old brave girl from Malakand, had been suffering from congenital sensorineural hearing loss. Due to this condition, she couldn’t hear the voices of her parents and enjoy the delightful sounds of the world around her. Her family consulted with a doctor who recommended cochlear implant surgery.

Eshmal is her parent’s only child. They were heartbroken to see their daughter struggling to hear the sounds around her. Eshmal’s father is the only breadwinner in the family and the cost of her surgery loomed heavily over him. He has a meager monthly income of PKR 40,000 per month and a loan amounting to PKR 135,000. In this time of distress, her family found Transparent Hands and contacted us to seek help. Considering the impact of the cochlear implant on her quality of life, we swiftly registered her case.

With our assistance, she was admitted to Ali Medical Centre Islamabad. The skilled hands of Dr. Jawad Ahmad implanted the internal component of the cochlear device on 24-05-2024. The surgery was a remarkable success, enabling her to enjoy the symphony of sounds.

The external component of the cochlear implant was installed after six weeks. She has also started attending regular speech therapy sessions to develop her ability to hear and speak.

Eshmal’s father said: “We jumped with joy when she started responding to sounds. Our happiness can’t be described in words. We are thankful to all the donors who helped our daughter with gaining the ability to hear.” Eshmal Naz has emerged from the world of silence and is continuously learning new words. Your donation brought her to a future filled with endless possibilities. Her family thanks you for every new milestone. We are grateful to all donors who contributed generously.
