Faizan Yaqoob's Story

Faizan Yaqoob, is a courageous 13-year-old resident of Barnala, Azad Kashmir. Despite his young age, Faizan has been facing difficulties with his health, experiencing shortness of breath, chest discomfort, and struggling to gain weight. His parents discovered his condition, called Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) when he was just one year old.

Determined to help their son, Faizan’s parents sought medical advice, and after various tests and evaluations, the doctor recommended an Angiography followed by a total correction procedure. This comprehensive treatment plan aims to address Faizan’s condition and improve his overall well-being.

However, Faizan’s family faces significant challenges in accessing the necessary medical care. They live in a simple mud house in a village in Azad Kashmir, with limited space for Faizan, his mother, and his five brothers. Tragically, Faizan became an orphan five years ago when his father passed away, leaving the family in a financial crisis. With his brother being the sole earner as a daily wage laborer, it is difficult for them to afford the expenses associated with Faizan’s treatment. Additionally, the family struggles to cover their monthly utility bills amounting to 2,000 PKR.

In this difficult time, Faizan remains determined to overcome his health challenges and contribute to his family’s well-being in the future.

Faizan said it in a depressed tone:

“Life may be challenging, but I refuse to let it hold me back. I dream of a brighter future where I can continue my studies and help my family. With the support of generous donors, I can overcome these obstacles and achieve my goals.”
