Muhammad Rohan's Story

Muhammad Rohan, a 1-year-old baby boy from Mardan, KPK, has been struggling with each breath since birth. His skin sometimes turns blue due to poor oxygenation. His parents took him to a local hospital. After undergoing various tests, Rohan was diagnosed with Situs Ambiguous, Right Atrial Isomerism, Tricuspid Atresia (TA), and Transposition of the Great Arteries (TG). These conditions affect the structure and position of his heart and major vessels, severely impacting blood circulation and oxygen delivery.

To save his life and stabilize his condition, the cardiac surgeon has recommended a CP Shunt through open-heart surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond Rohan’s family’s financial capacity.

Without this surgical intervention, Rohan’s health will continue to deteriorate. It may put him at serious risk of heart failure and long-term developmental delays. Early correction is crucial to ensure a better quality of life for him.

Rohan’s father works as a daily wager and earns only PKR 20,000 a month. This income is barely enough to meet the basic needs of their family of six, which includes Rohan, his parents, and three siblings. The family struggles with household expenses, including food and utility bills. Medical expenses are far beyond their reach, and arranging money for this life-saving surgery is an impossible task for them.

Rohan’s father said with teary eyes:

“We carry him in our arms, watching him struggle to breathe, and feel helpless. As a father, there is no greater pain than knowing your child is suffering, and you can’t save him because you are poor. I request you to please save Rohan’s life.”

Rohan’s innocent smile hides the pain he experiences every day. His family dreams of a day when he can play and laugh like other children. You can save his life. Open your hearts and contribute for Rohan’s life-saving surgery.
