Muhammad Hassan 's Story

Hassan awaits Cochlear Implant Surgery. Before you go on to read the sad details of Muhammad Hassan’s case, please be sure of the fact that your contribution will bring his sense of hearing back. The procedure can enlighten his world with the sound of joyful voices. Hence, we would urge you to please take a part and contribute as much as you can for Hassan’s Cochlear Implant Surgery.

Muhammad Hassan, aged four, a resident of Lahore, is suffering from Congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss. Hassan’s body temperature was fluctuating upon which his parents took him to hospital. He was given symptomatic treatment. As he grew older, his parents noticed that he wasn’t responding to sounds. They took him for a consultation, upon which he was advised to undergo a series of hearing tests. After the test reports came, Muhammad Hassan was diagnosed with Congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss. The doctors advised him to get a Cochlear Implant. This Cochlear implant will help him recognize the hearing sensations and that will stimulate or activate the inner ear nerves.

Muhammad Hassan’s father works in a private company and is the sole earner in the family. He has a family of eight people. In these times of a global pandemic and economical crisis worldwide it is very difficult to even put food on the table for eight people. The cost of this procedure is beyond his father’s affordability. A colleague told Hassan’s father about Transparent Hands and we were contacted. Hassan’s mother shared her distress in the following words:

“My son stares blankly at my face whenever I am talking and the realization hits me that he is not able to understand or hear anything. It breaks my heart into a trillion pieces. I want my son to be like other normal kids and be able to hear my voice and interpret my emotions. Transparent Hand is our final hope. Please help my son.”

Luckily for Muhammad Hassan, he has been registered with Transparent Hands. We are determined to get his procedure done as soon as possible. But, none of this will be possible without your donations and generous contributions. As Hassan awaits Cochlear Implant Surgery, we would request you to please donate for his procedure.
