Altaf Hussain's Story

Altaf Hussain, a 47-year-old resident of Lahore, is facing the challenges of cataracts in his left eye. His deteriorating vision has caused immense difficulty in his daily life, making simple tasks a struggle. The doctor has recommended surgery: Left Phaco and Intraocular Lens (IOL) surgery, which holds the key to restoring his sight.

Altaf works in a factory and earns a monthly income of PKR 25,000. He lives in a rented house with his wife and two children. To make ends meet, he must pay a monthly rent of PKR 3,000, utility bills of PKR 2,000, and school fees of PKR 1,000. Despite his best efforts, the financial burden prevents him from affording the necessary surgical expenses.
