Sabra Ghulam Nabi's Story

Wars have tragic effects and they always leave a mark behind, no wonder we all detest wars. Sabra is one of the doomed victims. During the 1971 Pak-India War, she was pregnant. Under those unstable circumstances, she had a cesarean and could not recover her health. On top of it, her four month infant son got brutally murdered by a bullet. She was deeply saddened and got nothing to live for. Since then she developed Vaginal Fistula problem. She did not have any babies after this upset. She got operated twice at General hospital but it did not get better. Now she has come to Transparent Hands for help since her poor old husband cannot afford the treatment. Sabra Ghulam Nabi was treated at Zainab Memorial Hosiptal by General Surgeon Doctor Ahmed Fawad who performed her fistula surgery successfully on 29, November, 2014. Now, she is healing and satisfied with her treatment. She is very grateful to all those who took her out of trouble, including Transparent Hands team and the donors who have been supportive throughout.
