Meraj Din's Story

Meraj Din, a 67-year-old resident of Lahore, is facing the challenges of cataracts in his right eye. His deteriorating vision has caused immense difficulty in his daily life, making simple tasks a struggle. The doctor has recommended surgery: Right Phaco + Intraocular Lens (IOL) surgery, which holds the key to restoring his sight.

Meraj lives in a three-marla house in Lahore with his loving wife and four children. To make ends meet, he works as a tailor in a rented shop. However, his declining vision poses a significant obstacle to his work, as he needs a clear vision to deliver his best. Despite his dedication, his monthly income of PKR 30,000 falls short of covering essential expenses such as groceries, daily necessities, utility bills (amounting to PKR 3,000), and shop rent (PKR 10,000). As a result, the financial burden prevents him from affording the necessary surgical expenses.

Meraj said it in a depressed tone:

“Your generous contribution can transform my darkness into a world of vibrant colors, giving me the precious gift of sight and the chance to provide a better life for my family.”

Today, we invite you to be a beacon of hope in Meraj’s life. Your support can light up his world and offer him the chance to regain his vision. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings him closer to the life-changing treatment he desperately needs. Together, we can make a remarkable difference in Meraj’s life, enabling him to see the vibrant colors of his surroundings and experience the joy of providing for his family.

Your kindness and generosity can pave the way for a brighter future, not only for Meraj but also for his entire family. Let us unite in our mission to restore his vision, empower him to overcome his challenges, and ignite a renewed sense of hope in his heart.
