Zain Abbas's Story

Even a small donation from you would mean the world to Zain who hasn’t been able to see properly since birth. Therefore, we request you to contribute as much as you can to help him live his childhood to the fullest. Donate generously without any delay to help us restore Zain’s vision.

Seven-year-old Zain Abbas, a resident of Multan, has been suffering from short sightedness since birth. His vision is also gradually deteriorating. His parents took him to a public hospital. Zain was diagnosed with left eye Cataract. A developmental cataract occurs early in childhood. Cataract is a clouding of the clear lens that eventually interferes with vision. The doctor advised Zain to undergo left eye Vitrectomy and Intraocular lens (IOL) under general anesthesia. Lens matter will be removed from the anterior chamber of the eye and a new lens will be placed in this surgery.

Zain’s father is a rickshaw driver and he earns just PKR 17,000 a month. He cannot afford to get Zain treated in these difficult conditions. Zain’s father narrated his tale in the following words:

I am a rickshaw driver. I just earn between PKR 300 and 500 per day. Some days, I come home empty handed. In these circumstances, I can’t think of any way to pay for my son’s costly surgery. He really needs this surgery as soon as possible as his vision is now deteriorating. Please help my son.”

A neighbor and friend of Zain’s father told him about Transparent hands and he reached out to us for help. We have registered his case and aim to provide him with the treatment he needs as soon as possible. However, this will not be possible without your support and generous donations. Only you can help us restore Zain’s vision. Donate to this cause now.
