Muhammad Imtiaz's Story

To say that Muhammad Imtiaz’s life has been difficult since his leg was amputated would be an understatement. He has been facing a lot of physical and mental stress on a daily basis. However, you can help him walk again. Please know that no matter how small or big your contribution is, it will make a significant difference in his life. We request you to donate generously for Imtiaz’s below knee prosthesis.

Muhammad Imtiaz, a 60-year-old resident of Lahore, has been battling diabetes for a long time. Imtiaz developed a foot wound that got infected and became Gangrenous. Over time, the infection spread to his leg. He endured this pain for a year until the doctor advised him to get his left leg amputated below knee level.

Muhammad Imtiaz, his wife, and their four children live in a rented house. Due to Imtiaz’s condition, he is unable to earn a living and completely relies on others for financial assistance. He is now having difficulty carrying out even the most basic tasks. Imtiaz came to Transparent Hands and requested us to provide him with a left below-knee Prosthesis. This prosthesis can help him get back on his feet again. Imtiaz shared his distress with Transparent Hands in the following manner:

“Since the amputation, my life has taken a catastrophic turn. I’m responsible for my daughters and sons. I’m conscious of my obligations, yet without my leg, I feel helpless. My sole concern right now is to get back on my feet and start supporting my family. Please assist me in regaining control of my life.”

Now that Muhammad Imtiaz’s case has been registered with Transparent Hands, we are determined to help him. However, we need your support to do so. Please donate for Imtiaz’s Below Knee Prosthesis and help him walk independently again.

Muhammad Imtiaz's Story

Muhammad Imtiaz, a 60-year-old resident of Lahore, was suffering from diabetes. After a minor foot injury, he developed a wound infection on the left side. His condition worsened and he went to the local hospital for an evaluation. The doctor diagnosed him with a diabetic foot and had to amputate his left leg below the knee level. He needed an artificial leg to regain mobility, but he could not afford to pay for it as he could not work because of his disability. So, he contacted Transparent Hands and Hope Rehabilitation Centre for an artificial leg. Under the supervision of Dr. Khalid, his left below-knee prosthesis was fixed on 30-05-2022. Your donations helped Imtiaz to get back on his feet.
