Khalida Abid 's Story

Khalida, a brave and resilient woman, has been recently diagnosed with uterine fibroids, causing her significant discomfort and interfering with her personal life. She also has difficulty performing household tasks because of pelvic pain and discomfort. She is also unable to sleep well at night because of her frequent urination, which causes her to feel tired and fatigued throughout the day. Furthermore, her heavy menstrual bleeding has made things difficult for her. Unfortunately, she is unable to afford the surgery due to financial constraints. Khalida awaits total abdominal hysterectomy with BSO, and your generous contributions will help her to lead a pain-free life.

Khalida, a 48-year-old resident of Karachi, has been experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and frequent urination for four months. She visited a nearby clinic, where the doctor prescribed some medications. But her condition gradually worsened. She went to the doctor for a consultation and was diagnosed with a fibroid uterus after a thorough examination and diagnostic tests. The doctor advised her to undergo a total abdominal hysterectomy with BSO. The hysterectomy along with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the uterus, cervix, ovaries, and fallopian tubes.

Her life is burdened with the weight of widowhood and the financial constraints she faced alone. She is living with her brother who is a rickshaw driver. She has no financial means to pay the surgical expenses. She said it in despair:

“I’m reaching out to you with a humble plea. Your kindness can make the surgery possible, bringing back my health and the simple joys of my daily life. Your generosity will give me the strength to take care of myself. In these tough times, I ask you to please consider extending your helping hand.”

In her relentless pursuit of help, Khalida reached out to Transparent Hands after exploring every other option. Her determination remains unshaken, and her case is now registered with us.  With her heart set on your assistance, she is clinging to the chance of accessing the medical care that holds the key to her well-being.
