Let’s Change Aqsa’s Life with Cholecystectomy
Aqsa Bibi's Story
Aqsa, a 30-year-old woman from Hyderabad, has been suffering from upper abdominal pain, and nausea for the past seven months. She experiences frequent vomiting, persistent heartburn, and burning micturition, which have made her daily life increasingly difficult. Despite her best efforts to manage these symptoms, her condition continued to worsen, and she decided to consult a specialist. After performing a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Aqsa with Cholelithiasis (Gallstones). These are hard mineral deposits that form in the gallbladder. Her doctor advised an open cholecystectomy, a surgical procedure to remove her gallbladder. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond her family’s financial ability.
Aqsa’s children depend on her for care, but her worsening condition makes it increasingly challenging for her to fulfill her responsibilities. If Aqsa does not receive timely treatment, her condition may lead to severe complications, including infections and damage to nearby organs. Her health may continue to deteriorate due to poor dietary intake.
While the surgery is crucial for alleviating her pain and preventing future complications, Aqsa cannot afford the cost of the procedure. She has four young children—two are in school, and the other two are still at home. Her husband works as a bus conductor, earning only PKR 20,000 per month. With this meager income, the family struggles to make ends meet. During this time of need, Aqsa contacted Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
Aqsa shared her heartfelt plea as follows:
“I just want to be able to care for my children and live without constant pain. It’s extremely hard to bear all the symptoms. I just want to be healthy, but my husband can’t afford the surgery. Please help me recover and be there for my family.”
Your generosity can change Aqsa’s life. With your support, she can undergo the much-needed surgery and return to her family healthy and strong.
Together, let’s help Aqsa reclaim her health and provide her with the hope of a healthier future.

Aqsa Bibi's Story
Aqsa Basit, a 30-year-old woman from Hyderabad, had been suffering from severe upper abdominal pain and nausea for the past seven months. She frequently experienced vomiting, persistent heartburn, and a burning sensation while urinating. Despite trying various remedies, her discomfort persisted, affecting her overall well-being. Finally, Aqsa visited a specialist for a thorough checkup. After conducting the necessary tests, the doctor diagnosed her with cholelithiasis. To relieve her symptoms and prevent further complications, the doctor recommended an open cholecystectomy—surgery to remove the gallbladder. However, the cost of the procedure was far beyond what her family could afford.
Aqsa lived in a small rented house with her husband and four young children—two attending school while the other two remained at home. Her husband worked as a bus conductor, earning only PKR 20,000 per month. This meager income barely covered their basic expenses, including food, rent, and school fees. With no financial resources to pay for the surgery, Aqsa was left in distress. Desperate for help, she reached out to Transparent Hands.
On January 07, 2025, Aqsa was admitted to Isra University Hospital in Hyderabad, where Dr. Waseem successfully performed the open cholecystectomy. The procedure went smoothly, removing the source of her pain and discomfort. After receiving post-operative care, she was discharged in stable condition on January 10, 2025.
Now on the path to recovery, Aqsa expressed her heartfelt gratitude as follows:
"For months, I lived with constant pain, unsure of how I would receive the treatment. After the surgery, I feel like a new person. The relief and happiness you brought into my life are something I will cherish forever. I am grateful to you for supporting me during my time of need.”
After undergoing successful surgery, Aqsa can now care for her children and focus on her responsibilities without pain. This change in her life was made possible through your generous support. Her family extends their deep gratitude to you for making a valuable impact on her life.
