M Alyan Haider is in pain due to Inguinal Hernia. Alyan, aged one year and one month, a resident of Chakwal is suffering from Hernia since birth. A lump has been formed in his right groin and recently he is experiencing severe pain and swelling in his lower abdomen. Upon medical examination, the doctors have revealed that he is suffering from right Inguinal Hernia.
An Inguinal Hernia occurs when tissue, such as a part of the intestine, protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles. The said bulge becomes painful while coughing, bending over or running. Though Inguinal Hernia isn’t necessarily dangerous, it requires due treatment as it may lead to life-threatening complications. Inguinal Hernia repair, that is a common surgical procedure termed Herniotomy, is advised by the doctors to Alyan. His father shares their story in the following words:
“I am a factory worker who merely earns PKR. 14,000 per month. For the past few months I have seen my son churning in pain. I have circled back and forth to numerous hospitals. After a recent examination, the doctor advised my son to have an operation. I am living in a joint family system. I have to provide for my family. M Alyan Haider's Story
Muhammad Alyan Haider, aged 1-year-old, a resident of Chakwal had swelling in his right inguinal region. He was suffering from severe pain so his parents took him to the hospital. There he was diagnosed with right Inguinal Hernia. He was advised to have a right herniotomy. For this purpose, he was admitted to Maryam Memorial Hospital. Here his surgery was performed by Dr. Omar Faraz on 02-10-2021. He stayed in the hospital for two days and then he was discharged in a stable condition. He is now doing a lot better.
