Maaz Awaits LMA and IOL Surgery to See Clearly

Muhammad Maaz, a 5-year-old boy from Shujabad, Multan, has been struggling with vision problems since early childhood. His days, which should be filled with laughter, and learning, are instead affected by the dimness of his sight. This eye condition greatly affected his ability to engage in normal activities, both at home and outside. Earlier this year, Maaz underwent surgery on his right eye (LMA and IOL) on March 26, 2025, arranged through Transparent Hands. The procedure was a success, giving him improved sight in one eye. However, he now awaits LMA + IOL surgery for his left eye.

Without this surgery, Maaz will continue to struggle with poor vision, and it may lead to complete blindness. Timely intervention is crucial to prevent further vision complications and ensure Maaz has the chance to live a full and active life.

Maaz’s father works as a laborer, and brings in PKR 30,000 per month. As the sole breadwinner, his modest income barely covers their essential household needs. The family pays PKR 2500 for utility bills each month, leaving them with very little to manage other expenses. Despite his best efforts, Maaz’s father cannot afford the cost of the second eye surgery for his son.

Maaz’s parents expressed their heartfelt plea as follows:
