Neelum Ijaz's Story

Neelum Ijaz, a 28-year-old woman from Lahore, is awaiting the birth of her first child. She is 31 weeks pregnant, and feeling both excited and anxious at the same time. Neelam’s doctor performed an ultrasound scan and found that she has Placenta Previa. It is a condition during pregnancy where the placenta is positioned low in the uterus, covering part or all of the cervix. To avoid potential complications and save both Neelum and the child’s lives, the doctor has advised a C-section for childbirth. Unfortunately, Neelum’s family can’t pay for her C-section.

Without the necessary C-section, Neelum and her baby may face significant complications. She may face excessive bleeding, uterine rupture, and fetal distress.

Neelum lives in a modest rented home with her husband, who works as an office assistant and brings in just PKR 33,000 per month. With this meager income, it is difficult for them to cover the house rent of PKR 7000 as well as the utility bills amounting to PKR 5000. Due to their financial constraints, they are unable to afford the costly C-section. It’s Neelum’s first child, and she dreams of spending precious moments with her newborn and embracing motherhood for the very first time. However, financial constraints stand in her way. With hope in her heart, she has turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.

Neelum said in despair:

“I was overjoyed when I found out I was pregnant. However, as I thought about how we would afford the surgery, my heart filled with worry. I don’t want to lose my baby, and I kindly ask for your support to help me undergo the C-section.”

Neelum relies on your generosity. She deserves to live a happy life with her newborn without worrying about financial limitations.

We ask you to be kind and generous and contribute for Neelum’s C-section. Come forward and enable Neelum to embrace motherhood for the first time.
