Parvati Panjon's Story

Parvati Panjon, a 65-year-old widow from Hyderabad, has been suffering from visual impairment for the past three years. Once an independent woman who managed her home and cared for her family, Parvati now struggles to perform even simple daily tasks. Her vision has become so blurry and dim that she can no longer recognize the faces of her loved ones or walk around her home without support.  Deeply concerned about her worsening condition, Parvati visited a local hospital. The doctor conducted a detailed medical examination and diagnosed her with a cataract in her left eye. The recommended treatment is left Phaco + IOL (Intraocular Lens) surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of this life-changing procedure is far beyond Parvati’s reach.

If Parvati does not undergo cataract surgery soon, her condition will continue to deteriorate. Eventually, the cataract may lead to complete vision loss in her left eye, increasing her dependency on others for every aspect of daily life.

Parvati’s financial situation is heartbreaking. As a widowed woman with no steady source of income, she relies on the occasional kindness of neighbors for survival. She lives in a modest home with her two daughters. One of her daughters works as a domestic cleaner, earning only between PKR 2500 to 3000 per month, which is hardly enough to cover basic household expenses. Faced with such overwhelming financial hardships, Parvati has no means to afford the much-needed treatment.

Parvati said in despair:

“I miss the days when I could care for my children with ease. Now, I can barely see their faces or navigate around my own room. Kindly help me regain my sight and restore my independence.”

Let’s stand together to help Parvati reclaim her life and dignity. Your generous donations can bring the light back into Parvati’s world. Come forward and donate now!
