Rija awaits VSD Closure
Rija Fatima 's Story
Rija awaits VSD Closure. Before you go on reading the heart wrenching details of Rija Fatima’s illness, know that your help can make a huge change in her life. Therefore, we request you to kindly donate as much as you can and make a change in her life. Please be generous with your contributions and help cure Rija’s heart.
Rija Fatima, aged eleven, a resident of Faisalabad, has been enduring the pain of palpitations and recurrent high fever since her birth. She was born with a congenital defect known as Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). Her parents took her for a check-up. The doctor gave her symptomatic treatment but after some time the medicines stopped working. Over time, her condition worsened. After further evaluation, the Cardiologist advised Rija to undergo Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) closure surgery. Ventricular septal defect (VSD) closure is a type of open heart surgery. It’s done to close a hole between the left and right ventricles of the heart. But due to minimal financial resources, Rija’s family couldn’t proceed with this surgery.
Rija’s father is a daily wager and he is the only caretaker of the family. He earns just enough a month that is merely enough to provide ration for a family of six. He cannot afford this heavy amount of her procedure. A friend told him about Transparent hands and they have been connected with us. We verified and registered Rija’s case. Her distressed father told us that:
“I feel helpless that I am unable to do anything for my precious child. My daughter is such a bright young lady. She wants to accomplish things in her life. This illness has limited her future. Whoever is reading this, I request you to please donate for my daughter’s surgery.”
Luckily now that Rija Fatima has been connected and registered with Transparent Hands, we are determined to help her but that is not possible without your support. As Rija awaits VSD Closure, we urge you to donate as much as you can to help cure Rija’s heart.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
