Twenty-five years old Rizwan Amanat, a resident of Lahore, suffered a tragic event ten years ago. He met with a road accident and got his right leg crushed badly. He was rushed to the hospital. The doctors tried their best to save his leg but they could not. Unfortunately his right leg was amputated below the knee level.

Rizwan’s life has taken a sad turn ever since. Due to lack of financial resources and inability to work because of his health condition. His family has been struggling. Rizwan contacted us and requested assistance to get him a prosthetic leg. Rizwan shared his sorrow with Transparent Hands in the following expression:

“This disability has limited my life. I am aware of my responsibilities and role in a joint family. You tell me, how am I supposed to meet their needs in this condition? I request you to please help me so I can share the load of my brother and provide for my family.”

Rizwan lives in his house with his parents, brother and sister-in-law. He is unable to earn a living because of his health condition. They completely rely on financial assistance from his brother. This prosthesis is crucial for Rizwan’s well-being and for his family’s survival.

Rizwan Amanat's Story

Rizwan Amanat, a 25-year-old resident of Lahore, had a tragic traffic accident ten years ago. When he was rushed to the hospital. The doctors discovered that his right leg was completely crushed and they had to amputate his leg above the knee level. Rizwan Amanat was unable to run his daily errands. He had been using a prosthetic leg for a long time and he needed to get the worn-out prosthesis replaced. He was sent to Hope Rehabilitation Center where he received his new prosthetic leg after consultation with Dr. Khalid Niazi on 02.03.2022. He will be able to walk normally again soon.
