Saba Parveen's Story
Saba Parveen awaits placement of the right prosthetic arm. Sixteen years ago, Saba Parveen, now aged 20 years, a resident of Narowal, suffered from a road accident. She was rushed to the hospital. Upon medical evaluation, the doctor discovered Trauma to the right forearm and hand. As her limb was crushed, she was advised right above elbow amputation as they could not save it. Fortunately her operated wound healed, and now to gain her confidence after deprivation, she awaits placement of the right prosthetic arm. Saba Parveen shares her story as follows:
“Life has been unkind to me for the past few years. What happened sixteen years ago seems like it happened yesterday. My trauma is still fresh. The doctors have amputated my crushed arm but what can anyone do about my crushed soul? After my wound healed, I realised that my ability to run daily errands and routine matters had significantly diminished. I was limited in my capacity. I would cry. But gradually I learnt to gather myself and contain the sorrow in my heart. My father is a daily wager and earns around PKR. 5000 per month. He is raising a family of five members. We live in a rented house. In these circumstances and financial constraints, it is impossible for us to afford a prosthetic arm for me. Now that we are connected with Transparent Hands, I see a ray of hope.”
Saba Parveen, awaits your donations to acquire the right prosthetic arm in order to improve the quality of her life. Now that she has been connected with Transparent Hands, donate generously to assist Saba Parveen in acquiring the right prosthetic arm.
