Tehmina Bibi's Story

Tehmina Bibi, a 31-year-old woman from Mian Channu, is suffering from shortness of breath and persistent chest pain. Her condition gradually worsened, affecting her ability to perform even basic household tasks. She now experiences difficulty in breathing during mild to moderate physical activity and often feels extremely fatigued. Worried about her declining health, Tehmina visited a local hospital. After performing some lab tests, the doctor diagnosed Tehmina with Severe Mitral Stenosis, a heart condition in which the mitral valve becomes narrowed, restricting blood flow. To restore her health and prevent life-threatening complications, the doctor has advised Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is overwhelming for Tehmina’s family.

If her condition is left untreated, it will lead to worsening of the disease. It may cause complications such as severe breathing difficulties and heart failure.

Tehmina lives in a modest home with her husband and two children. Her husband earns just PKR 64,000 per month. The family pays PKR 5000 for utility bills and is already burdened by a loan of PKR 100,000. They also manage daily expenses and responsibilities, leaving them with little to nothing for an expensive surgery like MVR. Tehmina’s family is concerned about her.  During this difficult time, they have turned to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.

With a heavy heart, Tehmina said:

“Every breath feels like a struggle now. I want to live a healthy life again, to look after my family and be there for them. We can’t afford this surgery on our own. Please help me get the much-needed surgery before it’s too late.”

Tehmina deserves a chance to breathe freely and live without pain. Her condition is curable with timely surgery, and your donations can bring her that hope.
