Ammar Ashfaq's Story

In the bustling city of Karachi, a young boy named Ammar, aged six, is facing a challenging battle against Inguinal Hernia, a condition that was discovered when he was just one year old. His parents, devastated by the news, immediately sought medical assistance at the nearest hospital. After undergoing a series of diagnostic tests, the dedicated doctors advised that Ammar undergo a herniotomy, a surgical procedure to repair the hernia.

Inguinal Hernia occurs when a part of the intestine protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles, resulting in a visible bulge in the groin area. It can cause discomfort, pain, and the risk of complications if left untreated.
A herniotomy is a surgical procedure performed to repair an inguinal hernia. The surgeon makes a small incision in the lower abdomen to access the hernia and carefully pushes the protruding intestine back into its proper place. The weakened abdominal muscles are then reinforced or repaired, typically with stitches or a synthetic mesh. This procedure helps alleviate the pain and discomfort caused by the hernia, reduces the risk of complications such as strangulation or obstruction, and allows the patient to regain their normal daily activities.

However, for Ammar’s father, who works as a daily wage laborer, the high cost of the surgery was an insurmountable obstacle. He could barely cover the daily expenses of his family, let alone afford the medical treatment his son urgently needed. Ammar’s father said with teary eyes:

“I humbly seek your support in funding my son Ammar’s urgent herniotomy surgery. Our financial limitations have left us helpless, and we desperately need your help to save his precious life.”

His family reached out to Transparent Hands, and we are determined to gather the necessary funds to ensure Ammar receives the treatment he urgently requires. Together, hand in hand, we can make a difference in his life.

Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
