Syed Nadir Abbas's Story

Nadir is in critical condition due to a congenital heart defect that must be corrected as soon as possible with cardiac surgery. His condition is deteriorating with every passing minute, and his only hope for a healthy future is successful open-heart surgery. We urge you to support Nadir’s redo open-heart surgery and give him the opportunity to grow up with a healthy heart.

Nine-year-old Nadir, a resident of Haripur, has been suffering from shortness of breath and cyanosis since birth. His parents took him to a nearby hospital, where they were referred to a cardiologist. After some diagnostic tests and evaluation, the cardiologist diagnosed him with Tetralogy of Fallot and open heart surgery for total correction was done. His first surgery was done a few years ago. He revisited the hospital with the same symptoms again. Now he was diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis. So, the cardiac surgeon advised him to undergo redo open-heart surgery for Pulmonary Valve Replacement (PVR).

He lives with his parents and three siblings in a rented house. His father is a daily wager. There is no other source of income. Therefore, he cannot afford his surgical expenses. His father said it with teary eyes.

“I can’t bear the thought of losing my son at such a tender age. Please kindly consider making a generous contribution to help us restore his heart to normal. With your support, we can give him the chance to thrive, grow, and embrace a life filled with health and happiness.”

His father contacted Transparent Hands to register his case. We are determined to give him the best possible care. Your contribution, however small, will have a significant impact on his life. We implore you to support Nadir’s redo open-heart surgery and help us bring hope and healing to this innocent child.

Syed Nadir Abbas's Story

Nadir Abbas, a nine-year-old resident of Haripur, has been grappling with shortness of breath and cyanosis since birth. Concerned for their child's well-being, his parents sought medical help at a nearby hospital, where they were directed to a cardiologist. Following a series of diagnostic tests and evaluations, Nadir received a diagnosis of Tetralogy of Fallot, necessitating open-heart surgery for total correction. His initial surgery took place several years ago, but he recently returned to the hospital experiencing the same symptoms. Further examinations revealed pulmonary stenosis, leading the cardiac surgeon to recommend a redo open-heart surgery specifically for Pulmonary Valve Replacement (PVR).

Nadir Abbas resides with his parents and three siblings in a rented house. His father works as a daily wager, leaving the family with no other sources of income. Consequently, they found it impossible to bear the financial burden of Nadir's surgical expenses. In search of a solution, Nadir's father reached out to Transparent Hands and registered his case, hoping for financial support.

Thanks to the assistance of Transparent Hands, Nadir was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital in Lahore. On September 28, 2023, his redo surgery was successfully performed by the skilled hands of Dr. Asim Khan. Nadir received attentive care during his eight-day hospital stay, ensuring a smooth and successful recovery.

It showcases the crucial role played by Transparent Hands and the generous donors who selflessly contributed to Nadir's cause. Their financial support alleviated the overwhelming burden faced by Nadir's family, enabling him to receive the life-saving treatment he desperately needed. Nadir's journey serves as an inspiring reminder of the resilience and strength of the human spirit. The support from the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation and all donors has not only provided Nadir with a second chance at life but has also served as a profound reminder of the remarkable impact that can be achieved when individuals unite to make a difference.
