Sidra Rashid, a 21-year-old resident of Dera Ismail Khan, has been grappling with overwhelming challenges since childhood. Stricken with shortness of breath, persistent fever, and agonizing chest pain, Sidra’s life has been held captive by her debilitating condition. In search of answers, her concerned parents sought medical help, leading them to a cardiologist. After a series of diagnostic tests and evaluations, Sidra received a heartbreaking diagnosis of large Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), and Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (RVVO). The doctor recommended immediate open-heart surgery for ASD closure, offering her the hope of a better tomorrow.

Living in a small house in Dera Ismail Khan with her father and brother, Sidra’s dreams of having a healthy life are in the cruel grip of the financial crisis. Her father and brother run a small shop and earn just a monthly income of PKR 30,000. Her father, burdened with the weight of their daily expenses, shop rent of PKR 1,500, utility bills amounting to PKR 1,000, and a looming loan payable of PKR 200,000, finds himself unable to bear the exorbitant costs of her surgical treatment.

With a voice quivering with emotion, Sidra shares her heart-wrenching plea:
