Muhammad Fahim, a 3-year-old boy from Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been suffering from breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. His parents noticed early on that even mild physical activity or crying makes him gasp for air. He turns blue at times, and he struggles with fatigue, weakness, and poor weight gain. Concerned for his health, his parents took him for a detailed medical evaluation. After several tests, the doctor diagnosed him with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a complex congenital heart defect that severely affects blood flow and oxygen levels in the body. The doctor has advised a Redo Echocardiogram and Total Correction Surgery, which is essential for his survival. However, his family can’t afford his treatment.

Without this surgery, Fahim’s condition will worsen. It may lead to severe breathing difficulties and potential heart failure. His ability to grow will remain limited. Timely surgical intervention is necessary to save his life.

Fahim lives in a rented home with his parents and a young sibling. His father holds two jobs, but manages to earn only PKR 24,000 per month. Despite his hard work, most of his income goes towards meeting basic needs, including PKR 4,000 for house rent and PKR 8,000 for utility bills. After managing household expenses, there is simply no way for the family to afford the high cost of Fahim’s critical heart surgery. Watching him fall behind other children of his age is heartbreaking for his family, who long to see him grow and thrive.

With deep concern in their hearts, his parents shared their emotional plea as follows:

“Every day, we see Fahim struggling with weakness and low energy. We want nothing more than to see him healthy and active. His surgery is beyond our reach. We request you to help our son receive the surgery so that he can live a better life.”
