Sajida Needs Your Support to Undergo a Safe C-Section

Sajida Bibi's Story

Sajida Bibi, a 26-year-old woman from Okara, is currently 22 weeks pregnant and eagerly awaiting the arrival of her baby. However, her pregnancy is considered high-risk due to her previous C-section for childbirth. Recently, Sajida visited a doctor. After a detailed examination, the doctor advised a C-section for safe delivery. Attempting natural delivery can cause various complications for both the mother and the baby. However, her family can’t afford her C-section. Without a C-section, both Sajida and her baby may face significant risks, including obstructed labor, fetal distress, and uterine rupture.

Sajida’s life has become even more challenging because of her financial situation. She was previously working as a housemaid, but she stopped working due to her pregnancy. Now she has no source of income. She lives in a rented house with her husband and child. Her husband works as a security guard and earns only PKR 25,000 per month, which is barely enough to manage household expenses. Their monthly rent is PKR 12,000, and they also pay around PKR 1,500 for utility bills. After covering these basic needs, very little is left for food and other essential expenses. Given their financial situation, they can’t afford Sajida’s much-needed C-section. As her due date approaches, Sajida and her husband’s hearts are filled with worries. With hope in their hearts, they reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for help.

Sajida said in despair:

“I am worried about my delivery because this C-section is necessary for my baby’s safety. We are struggling financially, and we cannot afford this C-section. I just want my child to be born safely. Kindly help me during this difficult time.”
