Afnan’s heart disease has been treated, thanks to your kindness

Afnan Ahmed's Story

Afnan Ahmed, 9 months old, was suffering from a congenital heart disease – ventricular septal defect (VSD) and moderate patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). He was advised VSD closure and ligation of PDA to prevent recurring chest infections. His open surgery was done at Ittefaq Hospital by Dr Muhammad Asim Khan on 11-09-19 in which, VSD was closed and PDA was ligated. He recovered well after the surgery and stayed for 5 days in hospital. He was discharged in good health.
