Alisha Embraced Motherhood with Joy
Alisha Bibi's Story
Alisha Bibi, a 20-year-old woman from Karachi, faced a challenging moment when she was pregnant with her second child. Due to her history of a previous C-section, she knew the risks involved. She went to a nearby hospital and consulted a gynecologist who after a comprehensive examination and evaluation advised another C-section. Her doctor strongly recommended that a C-section would be the safest option for both Alisha and her baby as natural delivery could create complications. However, the surgical cost was out of her family’s financial capacity.
Alisha lived in a small rented house with her husband and two children. Her husband, the sole provider for the family, worked as a daily wage laborer and made just PKR 20,000 per month. Her family struggled to make ends meet and they were hardly managing to pay for house rent, utility bills, and other living expenses. They had no other source of income and no savings at all to afford the much-needed C-section surgery. During this challenging time, Alisha contacted Transparent Hands and asked us for assistance. Moved by her plea, we quickly registered her case.
On 11th July 2024, Alisha was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Her surgery was scheduled for the same day. Dr. Farkhanda Saeed carefully managed her case and made the surgery successful. Alisha gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. After the surgery, she was hospitalized for three days. After receiving post-operative care and essential medications, she was discharged in satisfactory condition on 13th July 2024.
Alisha was overwhelmed with happiness and she said:
“I can’t describe my happiness in words. My newborn is safe and I am holding her in my arms. Your support came at the perfect time. I am immensely grateful for your generous support.”
After the C-section, the relief Alisha felt was overwhelming, and she is incredibly grateful for your support. Your generosity brought her hope, allowing her to focus on the joy of welcoming her daughter into the world. Alisha will always be thankful for your kindness.
