However, the financial burden of the procedure seemed insurmountable for Irha’s father, whose unstable financial situation left him unable to afford the costly surgery.

In this time of need, Transparent Hands stepped in after learning about Irha’s situation. With our support, Irha was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Lahore, where Dr. Imran Saeed, a skilled surgeon, successfully installed the internal component of the cochlear implant on February 28, 2024. Just two days later, she was discharged from the hospital, her heart brimming with newfound hope.

Within six weeks, the external implant was installed, accompanied by scheduled speech therapy sessions that promised to unlock the wonders of sound once more.
