Kainat’s Abdominal Pain Has Gone Now

Kainat Bibi's Story

Kainat, a 27-year-old resident of Karachi, had been suffering from pain in her right upper abdominal region for the past three years. Her condition was accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and intolerance to fatty meals. Despite receiving symptomatic treatment, her condition worsened over time. Then, she decided to consult a specialist. After a comprehensive examination and evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with Cholelithiasis. To get rid of this condition, the doctor advised laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Unfortunately, the surgical cost was impossible to bear for Kainat’s family.

Kainat’s condition was severely affecting her ability to eat, sleep, and even care for her children. Kainat is a divorcee, and she lives in her father’s modest two-marla rented house. She relied on her father to support herself and her two children. Her father is a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 20,000 per month. With this insufficient monthly income, he barely managed the household expenses, and medical bills seemed impossible. With hope in her heart, Kainat turned to Transparent Hands and asked us to register her case. The generosity of our donors enabled us to arrange surgery for Kainat at one of our panel hospitals.

On 9th July 2024, Kainat was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. The surgery took place on the same day. Dr. Attaullah Roonjho performed her cholecystectomy, alleviating her pain and preventing further complications. Kainat stayed in the hospital for two days and received post-operative care. After recovery, she was discharged in satisfactory condition on 10th July 2024.

Kainat said with tears of happiness in her eyes:

“I can’t express how grateful I am. The pain is gone, and I can be there for my children again. I never thought this would be possible. But you gave me hope. After the surgery, I feel like I’ve been given a second chance at life. Thanks for being there!”
