Nazia Anjum 's Story

Nazia Anjum, a 47-year-old resident of Rawalpindi, has been suffering from prolonged menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and frequent urination. She went to the local clinic, where the doctor prescribed some medicines. But her condition gradually worsened. She went to the doctor for a consultation. After a thorough evaluation and diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with a fibroid uterus. A fibroid uterus, also known as uterine fibroids or leiomyomas, is a common benign growth of a smooth muscle layer in the uterus. The doctor advised her to undergo total abdominal hysterectomy surgery. It is a surgical procedure to remove the entire uterus and cervix through an incision in the lower abdomen. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, she is unable to afford the surgery.

After exhausting all other options, Nazia Anjum reached out to Transparent Hands for help, and we registered her case. 

She was admitted to Maryam Memorial Hospital, Rawalpindi, where her surgery was performed skillfully by Dr. Haroona on 19-05-2023.  After three days of careful care and treatment, she was discharged from the hospital and started on the road to recovery and healing.

As she returned home, Nazia Anjum embarked on a journey of recovery and regaining self-worth. Transparent Hands played a pivotal role in making this possible, as the organization’s support and generous donors made her surgery and hospital stay accessible despite her financial constraints. Nazia’s heart overflowed with gratitude towards Transparent Hands and its donors, whose kindness had given her a chance at a better life.

As days turned into weeks, Nazia’s health continued to improve steadily. The physical and emotional healing allowed her to regain control of her life and engage in activities she once thought were beyond her reach. Nazia Anjum reconnected with her loved ones while regaining her energy and optimism, savoring the joy of living without the burden of ongoing discomfort and pain.
