Noshaba is enjoying good health now
Noshaba Mumtaz's Story
Noshaba Mumtaz, 12 years old, was diagnosed with an atrial septal defect (ASD) and was advised device occlusion of ASD. Before this procedure, she needed a Trans-oesophageal echocardiogram (TOE) under anesthesia. For this purpose, she was admitted in Ittefaq hospital and the procedure was done which revealed that her ASD has significantly closed and does not require further intervention. She did not have to spend a night in hospital as she was discharged the same day. According to her parents, she feels alright now and has started with her routine life. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors.
