Noureena Ameer's Story
Noureena, a 49-year-old resident of Karachi, had been grappling with the challenges of prolonged menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and frequent urination. Seeking relief, she initially visited the local clinic, where she was prescribed medicines. However, her condition continued to deteriorate, leaving her distressed and in search of a more definitive solution. Determined to find answers, Noureena sought a consultation with a specialist, and after comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with a case of fibroid uterus. With her condition demanding urgent attention, the doctor recommended a total abdominal hysterectomy to alleviate her symptoms and improve her quality of life.
Unfortunately, Noureena and her husband faced financial uncertainty, making it seemingly impossible to afford the surgery that was critical to her well-being. However, amid adversity, Noureena refused to lose hope. In her moment of need, she reached out to Transparent Hands. With renewed hope, she shared her story, and Transparent Hands swiftly registered her case, recognizing the urgency of her situation.
Thanks to the collective compassion of Transparent Hands’ donors, the necessary funds were raised to cover the expenses of Noureena’s total hysterectomy surgery. This act of kindness made it possible for Noureena to get a life-changing medical procedure, giving her a glimmer of hope in the face of hardship.
Noureena was admitted to Murshid Hospital and Healthcare Centre, Karachi, where her surgery was performed skillfully by Dr. Noureen Talpur on 18-05-2023. After three days of careful care and treatment, she was discharged from the hospital and started on the road to recovery and healing.
After the fibroid uterus was taken out, the painful symptoms went away that had been bothering her for a long time. The procedure not only helped her feel better physically, but it also took away some of the emotional stress that had come with her health problems. Noureena is grateful to Transparent Hands and its kind donors. Donate to deserving patients like Noureena.
