Muhammad Sahil's Story

In the scenic town of Nowshera, a resilient young toddler named Muhammad Sahil embarked on a remarkable journey of triumph and resilience. At the tender age of 2, he faced the challenge of sensorineural hearing loss, a condition that presented obstacles in his path to experiencing the world of sound. Determined to help him overcome this obstacle, Sahil’s family sought the expert care of Ali Medical Centre.

On the 22nd of November 2023, Sahil was admitted to the hospital, marking the beginning of a life-altering chapter. Under the skilled hands of the esteemed surgeon, Dr. Jawwad Ahmed, Sahil underwent a groundbreaking right-sided cochlear implant surgery. The procedure utilized a cutting-edge cochlear implant, meticulously designed to restore hearing function in individuals with sensorineural hearing loss.

The surgery proved to be a resounding success, opening a world of auditory wonders for Sahil. With attentive care and a brief period of recovery, Sahil’s condition improved significantly. On the 23rd of November 2023, filled with gratitude and joy, Sahil and his family celebrated his discharge from the hospital, embracing a future filled with limitless possibilities and newfound auditory delights.

While the surgery had granted Sahil the gift of hearing, his journey towards complete restoration was still in progress. After four weeks, an external component of the cochlear implant was installed, further enhancing his ability to perceive sound. To optimize the benefits of the implant and foster effective communication skills, Sahil commenced a comprehensive speech therapy program. Guided by dedicated professionals, his speech therapy sessions were tailored to address his unique needs, unlocking his potential for effective communication.
