Samson Naseer's Story

Samson Naseer, 30 years old, suffered from bilateral loin pain and burning sensation during micturition. On medical consultation, he was diagnosed with a ureteric stone on the right side and a staghorn stone on the left side of his kidney. The doctor advised a nephrolithotomy and JJ stenting for the left side and ureteroscopy (URS) with intra-corporeal lithotripsy (ICL) for the right side. For this purpose, Samson was admitted in Akram Medical Complex and the procedure was performed by Dr. Faisal Zaeem Ahmed on 30.11.2020. His left nephrolithotomy was done which took longer because of the large stone size and the second procedure for right ureter was not done. Samson stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in a stable condition. He is slowly recovering and getting back to his normal routine.

“My kidney stones have been removed successfully. This would have a significant impact on my quality of life. Now, I am waiting for my second procedure with high hopes”.– Samson told us
