Shamim’s C-Section was Successful
Shamim Bibi's Story
Shamim, a 32-year-old woman from Karachi, was expecting her fourth child. She had a history of three C-sections which led her gynecologist to monitor her pregnancy carefully. After several medical checkups and considering her previous medical history, her doctor decided on an elective C-section. It was necessary to avoid potential complications and for the safety of Shamim and her baby. Attempting a natural delivery could have posed significant risks to her baby. However, Shamim was unable to afford the surgery.
Shamim lives in a modest rented house with her husband and three children. Her husband, the sole provider for the family, worked as a daily wage laborer and earned just PKR 30,000 per month. Shamim’s thoughts were consumed with anxiety, knowing that without the surgery, both her and her baby’s life could be in danger. Their financial constraints made it impossible for them to pay for her much-needed c-section surgery. That’s when Shamim decided to contact Transparent hands. Upon learning about her situation, we promptly registered her case. The generosity of our donors enabled us to arrange surgery for Shamim at a reputable hospital on our panel.
The day of hope arrived and Shamim was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi on 4th July 2024. Dr. Samreen Zeeshan performed her C-section surgery on the same day. Her C-section was successful, and Shamim gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Shamim was hospitalized for three days. After receiving post-operative care and essential medications, she was discharged in a stable condition on 6th July 2024.
After holding her newborn in her arms, Shamim’s heart filled with relief and gratitude. She expressed her emotions as follows:
“I am grateful for the support I received during my time of need. You helped me to safely bring my child into this world. Thanks a lot!”
Your contributions made all the difference, turning what could have been a stressful and uncertain time into a joyful experience. She is thankful for your support.
