Sohrab’s Painful Tonsils Have Been Removed
Sohrab Dildar's Story
Sohrab, a 37-year-old resident of Hyderabad, had been suffering from persistent sore throat for four years. His condition worsened over time, leading to recurrent episodes of high-grade fever, painful swallowing, and throat infections. The severity of his symptoms made it difficult for him to carry out his daily chores.
Concerned about his health, Sohrab consulted a doctor at a nearby hospital. After a detailed examination and evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with chronic tonsillitis, a condition marked by recurrent infections of the tonsils. The doctor recommended tonsillectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery was beyond Sohrab’s financial means.
Sohrab lived in a modest brick house with his joint family of nine members. To support his family, he ran a small grocery shop from his home, earning just PKR 15,000 per month. This income was barely enough to cover the family’s basic needs, leaving no room for medical expenses. During this time of need, Sohrab approached Transparent Hands for help. After listening to his concerns, we promptly registered his case.
On November 18, 2024, Sohrab underwent surgery at Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. The procedure was successfully performed by a skilled surgeon, Dr. Amrat Kumar. After receiving post-operative care, Sohrab was discharged in good health on November 21, 2024.
Sohrab expressed his happiness as follows:
“I am immensely grateful for the help I received. For years, I suffered from pain and illness, but now, I finally feel free. Thank you for helping me. Your support has enabled me to live a healthy life.”
Today, Sohrab is recovering well and can perform his daily activities without the pain and discomfort that once held him back. His family is relieved to see him regain his health and energy. They extend their heartfelt thanks to you for supporting Sohrab’s surgery. Your generosity truly changed his life.
