Secure Abu Bakar’s Future with Herniotomy
Abu Bakar Muneer's Story
Abu Bakar Muneer, a 5-month-old boy from Hyderabad, Sindh, has been struggling with pain since the earliest days of his life. Only a few days after his birth, his parents noticed a painful swelling in his right groin that left their son restless and uncomfortable. Alarmed by his condition, they took him to a nearby doctor for a thorough examination. After careful evaluation, the doctor diagnosed Abu Bakar with a right-sided Inguinal Hernia. It is a condition in which a part of the intestine or abdominal tissue pushes through a weak spot in the groin, causing a painful swelling. To ease his discomfort, the doctor has advised Herniotomy as the only effective treatment. However, the cost of the surgery is far beyond his family’s means. Without timely treatment, Abu Bakar’s condition may worsen and lead to serious complications. The hernia may become trapped, cutting off blood supply to the affected tissue, causing severe pain, intestinal obstruction, and permanent damage. Delaying surgery can turn a treatable condition into a life-threatening emergency for this innocent child.
Abu Bakar lives with his parents and three siblings in a small hut. His father, Muneer Ahmed, is the only earning member of the family. He works as a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 16,000 per month, an amount that barely covers food and other basic necessities for a family of seven. Every passing day fills his parents’ hearts with worry as they watch their son suffer, knowing that they cannot afford the treatment that can relieve his pain.
With tears in his eyes, Abu Bakar’s father shared:
“As a father, nothing hurts more than watching our son cry in pain and not being able to help him. I work every day to provide for my family, but my income is only enough to put food on the table. The cost of my son’s surgery is impossible for us to arrange. Kindly help Abu Bakar receive the treatment so that he can grow up healthy and free from pain.”
Abu Bakar deserves the chance to grow, play, and enjoy a healthy childhood without constant pain. Your generosity can support his life-changing surgery and bring hope to a family struggling against overwhelming financial hardships.

Abu Bakar Muneer's Story
Abu Bakar Muneer, a 5-month-old boy from Hyderabad, Sindh, had been experiencing discomfort from the very beginning of his life. A few days after his birth, his parents noticed a swelling on the right side of his groin. The swelling caused him pain and frequently left him restless. Concerned by these signs, his parents took him to a doctor for an examination. After evaluating him, the doctor diagnosed Abu Bakar with a right-sided Inguinal Hernia. This condition develops when part of the intestine or abdominal tissue passes through a weak area in the groin, resulting in swelling and discomfort. The doctor advised Herniotomy to correct the problem, but the family could not afford the required surgery.
Abu Bakar’s family lives in a small hut with his parents and three siblings. His father, Muneer Ahmed, is the household’s only source of income and earns around PKR 16,000 a month through daily wage labour. Supporting a family of seven on this income is already difficult, as most of it goes towards food and other essential expenses. There was simply no amount available to afford the cost of Abu Bakar’s operation. His parents therefore approached Transparent Hands for support. After assessing Abu Bakar’s medical reports and the family’s financial circumstances, Transparent Hands registered his case.
On August 4, 2026, Abu Bakar was admitted to Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. However, he was experiencing fever and flu, and his condition was not stable enough for surgery. Therefore, he was discharged on the same day. Abu Bakar was readmitted to the hospital on August 8, 2026, once his condition had improved. His surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Najeebullah. Following the procedure, he remained in the hospital for post-operative monitoring and received the required medical care during his recovery. Abu Bakar was discharged in stable condition on August 10, 2026.
Abu Bakar’s father shared his gratitude as follows:
"My son was so young when we first noticed the swelling, and seeing him uncomfortable was very difficult for us. We had no way to afford his surgery because our income is only enough for our family’s basic needs. Your support made it possible for Abu Bakar to receive his treatment. I am thankful to you for helping my child undergo life-changing surgery.”
Abu Bakar is now recovering comfortably at home, and his parents are relieved to see him free from the discomfort that had troubled him since his early days. His family is deeply grateful to you for helping make his surgery possible and giving their little son a healthier start to life.
