Ensure a Safe Delivery for Faiza Through a C-Section

Faiza Bhukhari's Story

Faiza Bhukhari, a 25-year-old woman from Multan, is 32 weeks into her second pregnancy. She has had one C-section before. After recent checkups, the doctor advised another C-section so that she can deliver her baby safely. Because Faiza has already had one surgical delivery, another C-section is the safest way for this baby to be born. Faiza is a housewife, and her family cannot afford the operation. If this C-section is delayed, she and her baby would face serious risks, including uterine rupture, heavy bleeding, and infection. Waiting would put both mother and child in danger.

Faiza lives in her parents’ house in Multan with her husband, her brother, and their family, eight people in all, including her young child. Their modest home has four rooms. Two members of the household work, and the family’s combined income is PKR 40,000 a month. Her husband is a daily wager. Their utility bills amount to about PKR 8,000 a month, which already takes a large share of that combined wage. What remains must feed and pay for other essentials for eight people under one roof. After meeting the needs of a large household, they cannot set aside money for a C-section.

Faiza said in despair:

“At night I place my hand on my stomach and hope that this baby comes into the world safely. I keep picturing the day I will hold this little one, but then the fear returns. I am just asking you to help my child to live, and make it possible for me to be there for my children afterwards. Please help me.”

Faiza deserves to welcome her baby with dignity and without fear. She is a young mother whose first child already depends on her, and she should not have to face a second birth without the surgery her doctor has advised.

A timely C-section can give this baby a safe start and reduce the risks associated with childbirth for Faiza.
