Bakht Jamal, a fifty-eight years old, living in SherGarh, Mardan, has been suffering from joint pain for the last two years. He consulted a local doctor and was prescribed symptomatic treatment but with time, the pain worsened and became unbearable. Upon checkup, Bahkt was diagnosed with Advanced Bilateral Osteoarthritis of the knee joints, because of which he was in severe pain, and his joints became stiff. Due to this condition, he is not able to get up or walk. Moreover, the pain has become unbearable for him. To treat this condition the orthopedic surgeon has advised Bakht Jamal to undergo a Total Knee Replacement surgery for his right knee.

Bakht Jamal 's Story

Bakht Jamal, a 58-year-old resident of Shergarh, was suffering from pain in his right knee for the last two years. He went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis. He was advised to have a total knee replacement (TKR) for his right knee to get his mobility back. Bakht’s Total knee replacement (TKR) was done on 27-12-21 at Northwest General Hospital, Peshawar, by Dr. Khushnood Ali Baz. He remained admitted in the hospital for three days and recovered well. He was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Slowly, Bakht Jamal is returning back to his normal life.
