Anum Rameez's Story

“A few years ago I felt pain in my hip joints but I thought it was only because of working too much. But the pain got worse and two years ago, I was diagnosed with this condition. I tried to treat it, but I could not afford the treatment. I remain in pain all the time and not able to look after my family. My children are being neglected because of my health which is making me even more stressed with each passing day.” – said Anum Rameez

Anum Rameez is twenty nine years old young lady who is suffering from Bilateral Ankylosis of the hip – a rare condition in which the patient suffers from severe pain in the hips making it unable to move the body. Anum’s condition was diagnosed when she lost ability to work after complaining of fatigue for a long time.

Anum Rameez is the mother of two daughters, who are aged 5 and 4 years old. Her husband is a salesman but the employer has not paid him for six months. Anum used to help around with the finances by stitching clothes but because of her pain, she left the work. Now, the family is unable to afford Anum’s treatment.

Anum went to several local hospitals for treatment of her condition, but they turned out to be incompetent in treating her. She turned to private hospitals for treatment, but the cost of her treatment was too much. The doctors advised her a hip replacement surgery, otherwise she could lose her chance at walking forever.

After many hopeless rounds to the hospitals, Anum and her husband contacted Transparent Hands. Anum needs a hip replacement surgery as soon as possible. If she does not get the surgery, she will suffer from severe pain and soon will be unable to walk permanently.
