Donate for Amjad’s Arthroscopic ACL Reconstruction Surgery
Amjad Ali's Story
Around four months ago, Amjad Ali, 22 years old, suffered immense trauma when his right knee got twisted as he was lifting weight. However, he decided not to see a doctor at that time and took some painkillers on his own. The problem became worse when his condition did not improve and the knee pain increased. Ultimately, Amjad had to consult a physician in a local hospital. The doctor advised an X-ray in order to assess the state of his knee. The reports showed that he had an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Amjad was advised an arthroscopic ACL reconstruction procedure for treatment. It is a minimally invasive surgical technique used for replacing a torn anterior cruciate ligament, which is a major ligament in the knee.
Amjad wants to get this procedure done as soon as possible but his financial situation is a major hurdle in this regard. He works as a daily wager and earns only PKR 15,000 per month. His mother is also completely dependent on him. In these state of affairs, spending money on health is not a feasible option for Amjad.
“Past few months have been really tough for me. My knee became increasingly problematic and I could not work properly. I was not able to earn a lot and we are knee-deep in debt now. These financial troubles will probably never leave my side. Therefore, I intend to get used to the pain since there is no way I can afford the treatment.”– said Amjad Ali hopelessly
A ray of hope did appear for him when a friend told him about the Transparent Hands organization. Amjad immediately visited our office and got himself registered. Now, all that he needs is your unwavering support to get him through this time of difficulty. So, please donate generously for Amjad’s arthroscopic ACL reconstruction surgery.
