Farishta Khan's Story

12-year-old Farishta hails from the Mardan district of the country and suffers from aortic valve disease. The little one first complained about this issue about three years ago, and things have been deteriorating since then. What started from heart murmurs was eventually diagnosed as aortic valve disease. Farishta’s chest pains and dizziness spells alarmed her parents, who took her to a hospital in Peshawar. Naturally, the devastating news of Farishta’s heart disease left her parents absolutely shell shocked. Therefore, we request you to donate for Farishta’s Aortic Valve Replacement

But wait a minute. If you are thinking her parents are sad because Farishta’s disease is incurable, you are wrong. There does exist a solution for Farishta’s heart problem! It is a surgical procedure – Aortic Valve Replacement. As the name of the procedure suggests, it involves removing a damaged/faulty valve and replacing it with a synthetically designed valve. Animal tissues are used in the preparation of this valve. So if a treatment exists for Farishta’s disease, what is it that is troubling Farishta’s parents so much? Unfortunately, the answer is their financial condition. Her father says:

“Do you know the meaning of Farishta? An angel! My child is an angel who has fallen prey to an evil curse. Due to her disease, I am at a loss as to how to help her out of this? All I make by working hard at the brick factory every day is a mere 6000 per month. Farishta’s treatment will cost way more than that! And I have a family of seven to look after!”

Farishta’s father has explained the situation aptly, now you do the math. This is an equation that only you can help Farishta’s family solve. Therefore, all that you have to do is donate as much as you can for Farishta’s aortic valve replacement on the Transparent Hands crowdfunding portal. Donate for Farishta’s Aortic Valve Replacement to save an angel’s life!
