Hadayat Mochi's Story

Before you dive into the gory details of Hadayat’s ailment, please know that only your help can get him back up on his feet. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Hadayat’s artificial leg.

Three years ago, due to the spread of infection in his left leg, Hadayat’s leg had to be amputated at an above-knee level. After the wound healed, the doctor advised him to get an above-knee prosthesis for his left leg. Therefore, for the past two years, Hadayat has been hovering around on crutches in search of an artificial leg. Due to the COVID outbreak and partial closure of public hospitals, he is unable to get it from any public hospitals. Due to his limited resources, he cannot arrange his treatment at any private hospital. His distressed son told us:

“My father used to go to the mosque five times every day. His prayer routine was a center around which he organized the entire day. Now, he is unable to pray standing up or walk to the mosque. It distresses him to no limit. I wish there is a way for us to help him.”

Due to his withering age and added disability, Hadayat is unable to work. Therefore, he is financially dependent on his son. His son works as a daily wage worker with a construction contractor and earns PKR 12000 per month. Due to his familial expenses and debts, he is unable to save up for his father’s artificial leg. Therefore, with their doctor’s help, Hadayat Mochi and his son have registered themselves with Transparent Hands. We hope that with your kind donations, we will be able to arrange his artificial leg for free. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for Hadayat’s artificial leg. Help us get him back up on his feed.

Hadayat Mochi's Story

Three years back, Hadayat Mochi, aged 60, a resident of Nankana Sahib, suffered from a wound on his left leg. Unfortunately, due to the spread of infection in his left leg, he was advised to undergo life-saving amputation at an above-knee level. After the wound healed, the doctor advised him to get an above-knee prosthesis for his left leg. For this purpose he was sent to Hope Rehabilitation Centre where he received his prosthetic leg after consultation by Dr. Khalid Niazi on 14.04.2021. He is adjusting to his new leg now and is looking forward to walking independently.
