One-year-old Musfira, a resident of Okara, has suffered from shortness of breath and cyanosis since birth. She is also unable to gain weight. Her parents learned about her condition recently. They took her to a local hospital. After the diagnostic tests and evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with a congenital heart condition involving Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). The cardiac surgeon advised her to undergo Open-Heart Surgery for total correction.

She lives with her parents and two siblings in a small house. Her father is the only earner and earns just PKR 21,000 per month. He works hard every day to provide for his family, but her surgery is too costly for him to bear alone. With her father’s limited income, affording the high cost of cardiac surgery is beyond their means. His father said in despair:
