Donate for Shazia Akhtar’s Excision Surgery
Shazia Akhtar's Story
Before you dive into Shazia Akhtar’s tale of woes, please know that your help can save her. Your donation, however small it may be, will go towards arranging Shazia’s life-saving treatment. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Shazia Akhtar’s excision surgery.
Shazia Akhtar has been suffering from a condition called Accessory breasts. For the last six years, the size of her glands has increased significantly. Consequently, it has become quite bothersome for her. This condition is also known as polymastia. In this condition, the patient has an abnormal additional breast.
To treat this condition, Shazia Akhtar has to undergo excisional surgery under general anesthesia. In this surgery, the surgeon will surgically remove Shazia’s additional breast and Shazia will be able to continue with her normal life.
Unfortunately, Shazia Akhtar cannot afford the surgery. Shazia Akhtar belongs to an underprivileged family. Her husband is the only earner of the family. He works as a daily wage labourer and hardly manages to earn PKR 500 per day. In this meagre income, it is impossible for him to save up for his wife’s cancer treatment. All of his income is spent on putting food on the table for six family members. Shazia Akhtar talked to us and said:
“My husband works very hard. He goes out in search of work every day, even on Sundays. Sometimes he gets work, but sometimes he doesn’t. We cannot arrange the money for my surgery. In these dark situations, Transparent Hands is the only ray of hope we can cling to.
At last, after exhausting her resources at a private hospital. Shazia Akhtar has registered her case with Transparent Hands. The only things standing between Shazia and the cancer treatment she needs is financial constraint. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Shazia Akhtar’s excision surgery and help us save an innocent life.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
