Donate for Sobia Sajjad’s Hysterectomy
Sobia Sajjad's Story
Before you dive into the details of Sobia’s ailment, please know that your little help can make a huge difference in Sobia’s life. Your small donation will go a long way. Therefore, please donate for Sobia Sajjad’s hysterectomy as much as you can.
For the last sixteen years, Sobia Sajjad has been suffering from abnormally heavy and painful periods. At first, she did not pay much heed to it. But, slowly, the pain and discomfort increased to a point of no return. With much reluctance, she consulted a gynaecologist. After some tests, the gynaecologist diagnosed her with grade IV Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue endometrium grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining the pelvis.
To treat this condition and, to avoid further risks, she has been advised to have an abdominal hysterectomy. An abdominal hysterectomy is a surgery to remove the uterus for permanent relief. But, unfortunately, Sobia Sajjad cannot afford the hefty cost of this surgery. Sobia’s husband is the sole earner of the family. He runs a small shop for mobile load and hardly earns enough to keep his household running. Therefore, he is in no position to arrange for his wife’s surgery. In a conversation with us, he told us:
“I hardly earn PKR 30000 per month. Even if I save my entire salary for a year, I won’t be able to save enough for my wife’s surgery. You tell me what I do in circumstances like these.”
After a lot of distress, Sobia Sajjad has registered her case with Transparent Hands. We have assured her that we would try our best to help her. Now, all we need is your help. Please donate for Sobia Sajjad’s hysterectomy as much as you can. Donate now.

Sobia Sajjad's Story
Sobia Sajjad, aged 42 years, suffered from discomfort in lower abdomen and severely painful menses. She consulted multiple gynecologists to find out what was wrong with her. At last, her condition was diagnosed as grade IV endometriosis. In this condition, a tissue similar to the womb’s lining starts to grow in places where it is not supposed to, like fallopian tubes and ovaries. Sobia’s physician recommended a total abdominal hysterectomy for her. For this purpose, she was admitted to Imran Idrees Teaching Hospital and the surgery was performed by Dr. Huma Afridi on 02.06.2021. She stayed in the hospital for three days and was discharged in a stable condition. Sobia’s abdominal pain has ceased. She feels much more energetic post-surgery.
