Muhammad Humza is a one year old toddler. He is a patient of Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) since birth. In VSD, a hole is present in between the heart chambers, causing the body to receive limited oxygen. The blood being pumped to the body and the lungs can also be mixed with each other. The only way to treat Humza’s disease is by an open heart surgery which Humza’s parents cannot afford.

Muhammad Humza is the only child of his parents. He lives in a small rented house with parents in a joint family system. His father is a laborer who earns only 10,000 PKR per month and has to pay 3,000 PKR rent per month. He is unable to afford Humza’s costly surgery. They’ve been to many public hospitals but none of them gave any positive response.

This poor child is suffering from painful symptoms including difficulty in breathing, severe chest pain, frequent fever and cyanosis (bluish discoloration due to excessive crying). After much struggle, his father found out about Transparent Hands and immediately brought his son here.
