Javeria Bibi's Story
“We are struggling every day and night. My heart sinks when I say my baby girl in so much pain. We are so helpless. I wish we had the means to get her surgery done from a private hospital, but our hands are tied.” – Javeria’s mother
4-year-old Javeria is still a baby who has yet to experience the joys of life. She is suffering from chronic tonsillitis for the last two years which has resulted in repeated attacks of sore throat. She experiences high fever, acute pain in the throat, and difficulty in swallowing. Unfortunately, Javeria’s health doesn’t allow her to even play with kids in the neighbourhood.
Due to the lack of awareness, her parents ignored the pain initially as it was not bothering him much. But with the passage of time, her pain turned worse and she started to experience other symptoms such as fever, pain in throat and difficulty in swallowing food.
Extremely worried, her parents took her to the nearest local hospital where Javeria was diagnosed with chronic tonsils recently. The doctors recommended her to undergo a surgical removal of the tonsils, or a tonsillectomy because without it, her symptoms will continue to occur again and again. The local hospital gave the 4-year-old a date for the surgery in the year 2021. Her parents then visited a private hospital because they couldn’t see their daughter suffer anymore. The cost of the surgery at the private hospital is beyond Javeria’s parent’s financial means.
Luckily, someone at the local hospital in Mardan told them about Transparent Hands and the fact that they would help them get the surgery free of cost. They contacted TH immediately and were asked to visit Ahmed Medical Complex without wasting any time. There, the case was registered.
Javeria’s father is a driver and works hard seven days a week to earn and be able to provide for his family but only earns a small salary of 12,500 PKR/month. Apart from Javeria, he has three other children who, along with his wife, are all dependent on this income.
Without surgery, her condition will continue to worsen. Helpless and poverty-stricken, Javeria’s parents have come to Transparent Hands and requested for help.
Let’s not turn Javeria’s hopes into despair. Donate to Javeria’s surgery and give her a chance to enjoy her life in good health!

Javeria Bibi's Story
For more than two years, 7-year-old Javeria suffered because of her painful inflamed tonsils. The doctor had diagnosed this condition as chronic tonsillitis and advised a tonsillectomy for her. For this purpose, Javeria was admitted in Ahmed Medical Complex and the surgery was performed by Dr. Abdul Raheem on 28.10.2020. After successful removal of her inflamed tonsils, she was shifted to ward in a stable condition and then later discharged after a stay of two days in hospital. Javeria’s throat discomfort has finally ended.
